The challenge

A lump in the neck, a nodule on the thyroid, a biopsy result on the table. Patients search those words late at night, and what they find either frightens them or tells them nothing. Prof. Dr. Meriç Hafız answers that fear with a rare record: a research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Cancer Institute, eighteen years in teaching and university hospitals, 104 scientific publications, and both the European and Turkish specialty boards. Until now, that record lived in academic databases rather than on a page a patient could read.

Her patients think in Turkish, in English and in Arabic. İstanbul is one of the busiest destinations in the world for treatment abroad, and her clinic is authorized by the Turkish Ministry of Health to receive international patients. The questions weighed before surgery of this kind are precise ones: who exactly operates, is the centre authorized, which insurers are accepted, and how is an appointment actually made.

The approach

The site is built around the surgeon rather than a clinic brand: one professor who examines every patient herself and performs every operation herself. Cleveland Clinic, the two specialty boards, the university years and the publications lead each page, written not as an academic CV but in plain sentences a worried patient can actually read.

Turkish, English and Arabic were written in parallel to one standard, with the Arabic edition fully right-to-left. Treatment pages explain thyroid disease, salivary gland tumours, cancers of the larynx, mouth, throat and lip, and congenital neck cysts in calm, honest language. Insurance and fees have a page of their own, a first-visit page walks the patient through what to expect, and a dedicated international-patients route shows the Ministry of Health authorization exactly where patients look for it.

Contact matches how her patients actually reach out: booking form, telephone and WhatsApp, one tap from every page, with the clinic’s address at Selenium Plaza in Beşiktaş and its hours stated plainly. We handled the domain, hosting, publishing and search indexing end to end, so the practice never touches a control panel.
