Çınar Children’s Clinic
Clinician-reviewed answers for worried parents, and appointments without the phone queue.
An Ankara pediatric practice where two receptionists spent their days answering the same forty questions, while parents with sick children waited on hold.
Timeline6 weeks from consultation to launch
The challenge
Parents of small children call about fevers, vaccination dates, opening hours and what to bring to a first visit, and they call most at exactly the hours the clinic is busiest. The old site, a single page with an address and a map, answered none of it. So every worried parent at two in the morning became a phone call at eight.
The audience is Turkish-first but not Turkish-only. Ankara’s diplomatic and expatriate families needed the same answers in English, and a practice that could not provide them quietly lost those families to the big hospitals.
The approach
We built the site answers-first. The vaccination calendar, fever guidance and “your first visit” pages were written with the clinic’s pediatricians, and each leads with the one thing an anxious parent needs: a clear line saying when to simply watch, when to call the clinic, and when to go straight to emergency care. The site reassures and directs. It never diagnoses.
Online appointments let parents choose their pediatrician and a time without joining the morning phone queue. The whole site is designed to be used one-handed, because the other hand is usually holding a child.
The build is Turkish-first, with an English guide covering the pages international families need most, so the practice serves both audiences without splitting its identity.
What we delivered
- Full design and build parents can use one-handed at 2 a.m.
- Clinician-reviewed guidance with clear “call us if” lines
- Online appointments with choice of pediatrician
- A vaccination-schedule page parents bookmark and reuse
- Turkish-first build with an English guide for expat families
The outcome
A worried parent at two in the morning now finds clinician-reviewed answers instead of a busy tone. The fever guidance, vaccination calendar and first-visit pages each say plainly when to watch, when to call, and when to go straight to emergency care.
Online appointments let parents choose their pediatrician without joining the morning phone queue, and the receptionists spend their time on scheduling and genuinely urgent calls instead of reading opening hours aloud.
